I am a comic enthusiast (no, not a geek... have you seen that reality show King of The Nerds?). I was introduced to the world of comics and animations by a close friend of mine in my early teen years. Sure enough I had fallen hopelessly in love with the fascinating storyline and characters with exaggerating facial expressions. In my mind, they are the true heroes and Oscar winners.
Earlier today I found the Walking Dead poster that I acquired at my first comic con in New York last year. Even though I am quite a fan of the TV series, there is so little I know about the original version. This poster is now a temptation for me to reopen that comic door.
Speaking of something I like, Marc Ecko's - UNLABEL is an absolute inspirations for all the entrepreneur. It talks honestly about the ups and downs of Mark's business empire and how business these days should develop their own voice for their own brand. Men's Backstage starts with the same value, to find the voice behind a brand, a design, even a piece of clothing. You might be surprised the amount of emotions and stories every thread is carrying inside the garment.
It was an unfortunate the cover of Unlabel was whacked during the shipment. I decided to form another collaborations with my Walking Dead poster. Now it's the same book with another different attitude. The brand's image might be constantly evolving but its message and value always stay the same.
Just not sure if Mark would be happy to this arrangement.
