Although work has come to priority, I couldn't help but login to CBS immediately during late night to catch up the finale of How I Met Your Mother. I can't say I am a die hard friend of the 9 years sitcom, but its content does speak more or less the truth of us growing up in various stage of life and the relationship between people.
The last season, unfortunately, in my opinion is dragging. There's no more development on any character. We all sitting in front of the tv and looking for a proper closure to wrap up our beloved tv show, maybe weep a little bit.
Finale, if not the best analogy, is the last fireworks sequence. People are expecting loud, big and non-stop fireworks blowing up the sky. All we ask for is a happy seal to the memory. Therefore, unexpected turns that tend to raise more WHATs and WHYs are not leading to a happy ending in our mind. Writers seems to believe the ending has resolved all the questions and leaves audience a bitter sweet closure, but what it truly does was to make a U-turn right before the bus stop and throw everyone off at an unexpected location. SURPRISE?
If you watch yesterday's finale, do you like it?
